1956 NL News Recap with League Leaders

May 1, 1956

The first month of the 1956 baseball season is in the books for the NL. Wally Post of the Cincinnati Reds has come out swinging to start the season and leads the league with 6 homeruns. Brooklyn Dodger Carl Furillo is also off to a nice start, driving in 17 runs in the teams first 11 games.
