Roger Craig pitched a masterpiece today against the Cincinnati Reds. The Brooklyn Dodger threw a Perfect Game and game away with a 5-0 victory. The Dodgers scored 5 runs in the 2nd, the big blow: a bases emptying 3-run double by Pee Wee Reese. Craig did the rest, striking out 3 and allowing no one to reach base.

History was made in Cincinnati as Roger Craig(5-1) thrilled the crowd by
tossing a perfect game and the Brooklyn Dodgers defeated the Cincinnati Reds
by the score of 5 to nothing.
Although disappointed to see the hometown team lose, the fans certainly were
appropriately impressed with the dominating, no-hit performance of Craig.
The tension started to build around the 6th inning. By the 9th inning the
crowd was electrified. Neither team managed to score after the 2nd inning.
Brooks Lawrence(3-6) was the losing pitcher. He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings and
surrendered 3 hits and 4 walks. 'Craig was simply incredible' losing pitcher
Lawrence said. 'I hate to admit this but I'd pay to watch a man pitch like
that'
