Don Newcombe had a complete game at Ebbets Field as the Brooklyn Dodgers beat
the slumping Milwaukee Braves 9 to 2.
Brooklyn took the lead for good in the 5th inning scoring one runner.
Milwaukee had 9 hits in the game while Brooklyn had 6, but Brooklyn had the
more timely hits.
The win was credited to Newcombe(20-8) who went the whole way allowing 2 runs.
Lew Burdette(19-10) took the loss. He gave up 8 runs in 7 innings of work.
