Ted Kluszewski cracked 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds
defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 10 to 4 at Forbes
Field.

Kluszewski had a big day at the plate. He stroked a one-base hit in the 2nd
inning, smacked a three-run homer in the 3rd inning, cleared the fences for a
two-run home run in the 6th inning and banged out a single which brought home
a run in the 8th inning. Cincinnati rapped out 13 hits for the afternoon.

The win was credited to Joe Nuxhall(5-1) who went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 4
runs. The losing pitcher was Bob Friend(2-5). He surrended 3 homeruns in his
7 innings.

'Everything seemed to click today,' Kluszewski said 'if it could only be this
easy all the time!'
